In recent weeks The Meadows office has received numerous reports of units in our community housing up to 15 people in a single unit.  It is important to remember that The Meadows follows the Fairfax County Codes regarding the number of individuals permitted to reside within a unit.  The residency restrictions are quite lengthy and are based on square footage, but a good rule of thumb for how many people can reside in a unit is to refer the standard published by Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which allows two people per bedroom.  If you would like specific information regarding the occupancy standards, contact Fairfax County Departments of Zoning and/or Health and Human Services.
